On June 24th, the Flagship NRP Álvares Cabral hosted a meeting held between the members of the Somali Federal Government (SFG) and representatives of EU at sea off Mogadishu Coast. This was the first ever meeting held at sea between the European Union and the SFG, with a focus on how both can work together to help to strength maritime security and economic development in Somalia. Given the on-going fragile situation in Mogadishu City special security measures were implemented evolving different actors in order to provide the secure transportation of these VIPs.
