On Wednesday 23 December, ITS Carabiniere, EUROMARFOR flagship for Operation Atalanta, conducted a bilateral exercise with the Madagascar Navy during a port call in Antsiranana.

The exercise was focused on the merchant ship boarding for inspection and firefighting procedure.

These kinds of exercises, carried on by EMF ships, are parts of the Local Maritime Capacity Building for the development of the skill of the Navies and of the mutual interoperability.
