Vice Admiral Aurelio DE CAROLIS, Commander-in-Chief of the Italian Navy Fleet and Commander of the EUROMARFOR, meets Brigadier General Jean Philippe LEROUX (FRA Army), Director of Operations of the EUROPEAN UNION MILITARY STAFF (EUMS).

The meeting between VAdm DE CAROLIS and BGen LEROUX took place at the Italian Navy Fleet/EUROPEAN MARITIME FORCE HQs (CINCNAV, Rome). During the visit, VAdm DE CAROLIS highlighted the multi-domain capabilities of the ITA NAVY FLEET HQs as well as its competences to exert the C2 duties of maritime operations.

During the meeting with Brigadier General LEROUX, Vice Admiral DE CAROLIS, recalled EUROMARFOR readiness to support the European Union in maintaining maritime security through Crisis Management, Cooperative Security and Maritime Security activities in the Wider Mediterranean.

The Italian Navy Fleet/EUROMARFOR HQs has dedicated facilities to host EU staff members as well as a EU Maritime Operational Center (EU MOC) for the conduct of the operations.
