On 12 February, the Italian Red Cross volunteer nurses handed in a load of apparel used - the result of donations - to the aircraft carrier Cavour, operation Eunavfor Med flagship. These gods will be available to support the reception of immigrants rescued during the rescue operations.
The Force Commander of the operation Eunavfor Med, Admiral Andrea Gueglio, in welcoming them, stressed the importance of this donation, which, especially in winter, can make a real difference in saving the lives of people rescued at sea .
