SP MINEX-15 is a LIVEX Exercise planned by ALFLOT (Spanish Admiral of the Fleet) and is conducted by COMTEMECOM (Commander of the Mine Warfare Force), from 18 to 28 May 2015 in Alicante approaches and surrounding waters, to improve cooperation and effectiveness of allied Mine Warfare units and staffs in expeditionary MCM operations, in a crisis scenario.

The tatical commander is the commander of EUROMARFOR Task Group, Captain (N) Jaime Golmayo Hafner, embarked on SPS Relámpago. This officer was designated directly by COMEUROMARFOR during his speech by the occasion of EUROMARFOR 20th Anniversary Ceremony.

In the exercise are operating more than 500 soldiers from the six countries. In the  exercise are operating ships from EUROMARFOR (France, Italy, Portugal and Spain) and also from ships from Germany and Turkey. The mines used in this exercise are simulated, completely harmless, safe for the environment, and will be collected at the end of the exercise.

• FS Capricorne;
• ITS Rimini.
