EUROMARFOR was activated for the second time this year in the Gulf of Guinea. The ships FS Ventose, ITS Foscari and SPS Tornado are in the region improving the interoperability of the EUROMARFOR naval units and showing the commitment of the EUROMARFOR for supporting EU Coordinated Maritime Presences in the Gulf of Guinea.

EUROMARFOR TASK GROUP was activated today in order to participate on the Italian Navy Exercise MARE APERTO 23-2

The EUROMARFOR flag was hoisted at the Italian Fleet Headquarters, during a simple but full of significance ceremony.  

On the 26^th of September 2023, took place the ceremony for the changeover of Command of the European Maritime Force (EUROMARFOR) between the Commander of the Spanish fleet, Admiral Eugenio Diaz Del Rio (outgoing) and the Commander in Chief of the Italian Fleet, Admiral Aurelio De Carolis (incoming), on board ITS GARIBALDI moored in the port of Civitavecchia.
