The NRP Figueira da Foz is the flagship of the Euromarfor Group Commander CDR (PRT N) Duarte da Conceição whilst the Operational Control of the force is delegated to the Portuguese Comandante Naval (COMNAV) presently in charge as Commander of European Maritime Forces.

The EUROMARFOR Task Group composed by FS Orion, ITS Rimini and ESPS Segura left the Mahon Naval base bound to the exercise area.

The NRP Figueira da Foz has 67 crew members including the multinational staff from France Italy Spain and Portugal and a team of divers specialized in mine warfare.
