Today marks the 30th anniversary of EUROMARFOR, the multinational European maritime force created in 1995 to promote security and cooperation in the Mediterranean and beyond.

Three decades of shared commitment, joint operations, and continuous growth in the spirit of interoperability.

A significant milestone that highlights the enduring bond among the Navies of France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, and EUROMARFOR’s concrete contribution to maritime security through its four current activations — from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

The ceremony was held onboard @ItalianNavy MARGOTTINI moored in Civitavecchia together with @MarineNationale CDT BIROT, @MarinhaPortuguesa BARTOLOMEU DIAS and @Armada_esp REINA SOFIA.

With the presence of the Commander of EUROMARFOR, Vice Admiral Aurelio DE CAROLIS (who is also Commander in Chief of the Italian Navy Fleet, CINCNAV), Vice Admiral Christophe CLUZEL, Chief of the Action Naval Force (ALFAN, French Navy) and Vice Admiral Eugenio DIAZ DEL RIO JAUDANES, Chief of the Spanish Navy Fleet (ALFLOT)
