EUROMARFOR has been activated in support of operation EUNAVFOR ATALANTA, on its 51^st rotation, it is the third consecutive activation that shows the close cooperation and mutual understanding between the EUROPEAN UNION and EUROMARFOR.

This operation is being developed on board the Spanish frigate VICTORIA under the command of a multinational staff leaded by Portugal with Commodore João Silva.

Until the end of this rotation, EUROMARFOR will contribute to safeguard area stability, prevent, deter and repress piracy, protect UN World Food Programme vessels, and prevent arms, drugs or other illicit trafficking.
