EUROMARFOR is activated for the first time this year in the Gulf of Guinea. The last 7^th March, ESPS “Furor” and FS “Commandant Bouan”,  had the opportunity to cooperate closely, contributing to joint training and reinforcing cooperation between our navies in support of European maritime security initiatives in East Africa.

The training programme included communications checks, a surface firing exercise with the ship’s main gun, electronic warfare exercises, communications exercises, Link-11 tactical communications procedures, establishment of a Link-11 network during the PASSEX, cross-deck personnel exchanges and evolution exercises.

All exercises were conducted professionally and in line with EMF objectives. Personnel exchanges further enhanced mutual understanding, while tactical serials provided realistic opportunities to test procedures and coordination.
