Activation of the EUROMARFOR Task Group to participate, for the first time, in a NATO’s exercise, “LINKED SEAS 2000”. Before the exercise, in order to promote the Force, the EMF TG conducted port visits to some Northern European countries.

Activation of EUROMARFOR Task Group, which included for the first time, some activities with a Northern African partner, namely Tunisia.

1^st Activation for a Real-World Operation (RWO): EMF’s Operation COHERENT BEHAVIOUR, in the Eastern Mediterranean, supporting NATO’s Operation ACTIVE ENDEAVOR.

2^nd Activation for a Real-World Operation: EMF’s Operation RESOLUTE BEHAVIOUR, in the framework of International Coalition’s Counter Terrorism Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, in the Indian Ocean.

Activation of EUROMARFOR Task Group, for conducting a port visit to Algiers and a PASSEX with the Algerian Navy.

Activation of EUROMARFOR Task Group, in Oran harbor, to participate, for the first time, in the Multi-Cooperative Exercise "MCE 07" with the Algerian Navy, off the Oran/Algeria coast.

3^rd Activation for a Real-World Operation: EMF held Maritime Task Force (MTF) command responsibilities in the UN’s Peacekeeping Operation UNIFIL, while conducting EMF’s Operation IMPARTIAL BEHAVIOR, in Lebanon. 12 months of EMF leadership, for the first time under UN aegis.

Activation of the force to conduct the Command Post Exercise “SEA BIT 18-1”, which for the first time joined the four EMF Navies’ Maritime Operations Centers in a Maritime Security / Maritime Situational Awareness (MS / MSA) exercise, also including the participation of EMF maritime assets at sea.

Activation of EUROMARFOR Task Group to participate in the Multi-Cooperative Exercises "MCE 18-1” and "MCE 18-2” with the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Cabo Verde, respectively. This was the first time both countries operated with EUROMARFOR.

Activation of EUROMARFOR Task Group for participating in the Multi-Cooperative Exercise "MCE 19" with Morocco.
